A major new feature that was quietly introduced today in iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and macOS Monterey, is a built-in two-factor verification code generator. As with passwords, you will be able to connect Internet accounts to Apple’s Settings apps. The best part though? Settings actually fills in two factor codes automatically if it detects that you are logging in to a registered account.
Apple has also added a dedicated password section to System Preferences on Mac, which separates it from keychain access. It is now also possible to import your passwords from other manager apps. The company also extends iCloud keychain support to Windows and Microsoft Edge.
The first developer beta of all three platforms is now available on Apple’s developer website. Keep it locked to the 9to5Mac for all things coming in Apple̵
