While Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL both have the same two-tone design on the backside as Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the glass of the latter pair is replaced with polycarbonate. Google does this to cut the cost of producing the phone, which needs to be done to suitably cost a "Lite" version of today's Pixel models. In addition, the simple camera on the back seems to have a bit bigger impact than seen on the original models.
Pixel 3 Lite is expected to carry a 5.5 "LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2220. It is based on an aspect ratio of 18.5: 9 compared to the 18: 9 ratio of the usual pixel 3 (although Pixel 3 XL has an 18.5: 9 ratio). Other rumored specifications include the inclusion of Snapdragon 670 mobile platform under the hood along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of original storage. The cameras on the phone are expected to remain the same as on the higher models. That means we should see a single 1
2.2MP sensor on the back, and an 8MP self-control snapper in front. Speculation requires a 2915mAh battery inside, with Android 9 Pie preinstalled.
Pixel 3 Lite XL has apparently the same exact specifications as Pixel 3 Lite apart from a larger 6-inch display. And while the capacity of the battery on the handset is unknown at the moment, we expect Google to shed in a larger battery to operate the larger screen.
