Huawei deviation from the norm when it released the P20 Pro with three rear camera sensor early last year. The P20 Pros camera setup was high on the DXOMark benchmark as the best phone camera setup, with the Galaxy Note 9, iPhone Xs and others unable to tip it. The party was repeated on the Mate 20 Pro which also packs three camera sensors on the back. Now it seems that the company is about taking things to a higher level. The hint of this comes in the form of a Huawei patent application for a smartphone box filed with the China National Intellectual Property Administration.
The Smartphone case suggests that Huawei Mate 30 Pro will have a penta camera setup. The case has a larger cutout in the upper half of the case that is significantly larger than the Mate 20 Pro. Remember that Mate 20 Pro packs three rear cameras and one LED flash. The larger slice of the smartphone case only suggests that the Mate 30 Pro will have 5 sensors on the back with an LED flash. However, we are not sure whether the patented case applies to Mate 30 Pro, but it is definitely one of Huaweis's 2019 flagship. Maybe we could see it as early as P30 Pro.

. Other details about the upcoming device that can be scanned from the Smartphone case patent include the absence of a rear fingerprint sensor. This suggests that the device will have a fingerprint sensor under display. The unit also has the power button and volume rockers on the right. At the bottom of the handset is the USB Type-C port, as well as grilles for the bottom-powered speaker. If this proves to be true, the Mate 30 Pro will join Nokia 9, which is also expected to include a penta camera setup.
