At some point in the near future, Huawei will launch a phone called Mate 20. And when it arrives, it can contain one of the more unique camera layouts we've seen on the back of a smartphone to date.
Thanks to the people of XDA-Developers we have a look at the upcoming Huawei Mate 20. They say they built these renders based on photographs of the actual handset that they were able to see. Can not post the photos for now, shows us what Huawei works with and it looks like an interesting device.
Front Mate 20 will have a notch but will be tear-shaped and small. It is good to see that we already get very little notch because if we have to have them it's never bad to make them take up as little space as possible. This notch will host the front of the camera and a front-facing speaker directly above it.
The report has completed the major sections of the specific section: a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2244 × 1
Mate 20 will have a 4200mAh battery, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port for charging, and it will run Android 9 Pie out of the box.
But the most striking is the triple rear camera layout. Instead of having a vertical orientation, these three cameras will be placed in a square with rounded corners, with the three cameras taking the top slots, bottom left and bottom right. The top right place will host the flash.
And that's all we have about the upcoming Mate 20. The rumor will probably have more to offer soon before Huawei officially makes the handset official.
What do you think about the handset design?
