How to skip Monster Hunter Rises pesky ‘Quest Complete’ Cutscenes

When you get comfortable with the basics though Monster Hunter Rise, the real game of painting rare materials for high-level equipment can finally begin. Although you normally have to wait for a cutscene every time they finish a mission, a simple trick allows players to skip this short vignette, which reduces downtime between chases.

I was made aware of this trick by fighting game competitor Zerpin, but the secret spread quickly Monster hunter society after Ladderlaunch March 26. The technique involves hanging in the air with the game’s new Wirebug mechanic as the mission nears its end, which for some reason causes it to bypass the cutscene after the mission.

In the video above, I show how assignments are usually completed and then demonstrates the easiest way to use the Wirebug trick. While in the air – either by jumping from a height or gliding into the air with ZL + X – press the A button to make the hunter suspend above the ground for a few seconds. Fortunately, this window is quite generous, so it should be easy to take advantage of even after missions that end with a countdown as long as you get the timing down.

People on Monster hunter subreddit has noticed that the cutscene cannot be played in other situations as well, as when the player runs up a wall, is knocked down by an explosion or inflicted with paralysis and sleep conditions.

Monster Hunter Rise is a fun, new addition to the long-running franchise, and this trick should go a long way towards making it even more entertaining for those experimenting with playoff equipment. Then again, some of the missionary scenes involve bonding with your companions – cat and dog species known as Felynes and Canynes, respectively – so you may not neglect them every time you end a quest.
