Hearthstone & Shrink Ray & # 39; card can take back control paladin

Hearthstone next extension, The Boomsday Project, comes up, and as is the tradition, Blizzard rolls out progressively until the release. GameSpot has just had its own revelation for the new Paladin spell Shrink Ray. You can see the video above to show us, but there is a lot to pack out on this card, so we've collected a thorough analysis of what this means for Hearthstone and its meta.

The Shrink Ray Card is a clear signal that Control Paladin is prized to return. It's no small achievement. Mike Donais told us that the design team tries to push classes in directions where they are currently underdeveloped. Control Paladin was a major role of vanilla Hearthstone and lasted through the first extensions, but recent extensions have consistently pushed it into a more aggressive direction. Short as Shrink Ray may be enough to take it back. The name comes from the ability to control the battlefield and leaves your opponent to the game, and this may just be the tool Paladin needs.

Why? In short, it's a one-card response to a large board. Paladines have long been proud of powerful combinations like Equality Initiation or Wild Pyromancer to clear the board and reset. But if you only took part of the combo box, you were still out of luck. The new card provides a cleaner response, which can still be combined with Wild Pyromancer in a clamp if you absolutely need a (rather expensive) total control dryer. More often, it will only make your enemies much less threatening, which gives you the chance to heal and restore the rule's dominance.

It also synergies well with Paladin Hero Power, so your 1/1 Silver Hand Recruits can test everything the opponent has on the board. On top of that, it fits well into Odd Paladin, with double recruits to take down the recently weakened enemies. We can also see Paladins experiment with egg-based tires, since this card gives them an easy way to activate eggs, making them extremely easy to break.

Hearthstone: Boomsday Project launches August 7th. Two pre-order packages are now available – a $ 50 for 50 package with a free golden legendary and card back, and a separate $ 80 for 80 package package that also shed in the Warlock hero Mecha-Jaraxxus.
