Google is starting to trade retail superlatives with a new mini-site that tells you about the best things for everything – whether the product you want is for coffee, for power generators or for board games, you have the options. All this in an effort to support the Google Shopping service.
The first mobile experience has 1000 products sorted into dozens of category tiles that you browse everywhere to find. Alternatively, you can also tap the drop-down menu from the top to retrieve some of the most common bits and bobs.
Google will list a number of product suggestions in any category along with their star rating on the Shopping platform and minimum market prices.
Tapping on a product takes you to the dedicated Google Shopping page where you can read the features, reviews, in-depth content and current prices, as well as the ability to sign up for price tracking.
The Best Thing for Everything will be out in the next few weeks, which probably means that Google hopes this mini-site will do the job of marketing Shopping.
