Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are now out and pre-ordered customers have begun to receive their devices. If you have not yet been determined, then this Google Pixel 3 XL Durability Test may make the decision easier for you. YouTuber Zack Nelson from JerryRigEverything, the smartphone durability go-to channel, has put the latest Google flagship through its steps.
Pixel 3XL did not show bending in Nelson's signature buoyancy test for the device. This means that the device gets good grades for endurance, but the same can not be said for its scratch resistance.
You can see in the video that the rear fingerprint sensor is prone to scratches and then faces problems detecting fingerprints when it has been scrapped. The lower part of the back, the non-glossy, is also a piece of a scratched magnet.
It can get everything scratched quickly, so some precautions will certainly go a long way. Limit the device's exposure to keys and coins so that you do not just throw it in the bag or in your pocket without being careful. You can get rid of deterioration and just buy a good case for Pixel 3 XL to use it with. It should be enough to cope with the scratch problem.
