Microsoft's Xbox One Controllers have not always worked well with Android. While Microsoft added Bluetooth to the Xbox One Controllers two years ago, a number of games have had button mapping issues. Google now officially supports Xbox One controllers with Bluetooth in its latest Android Pie release. XDA developers report that a Google engineer has completed a long-term bug report on issues with mapping the Xbox One Controller, and found that they were resolved in Android Pie.
"This error needs to be fixed in P … therefore marks this as fixed," says the named Google engineer. The fix has been placed in the kernel of Android Pie, so all releases of it will include it. A number of games support Bluetooth Fortnite will get support soon. It will make Play Fortnite on Android much more interesting on the move, especially if other game developers start to see mobile as more an opportunity to include control support.
