Yesterday, the German website Playnation.de reported a rumor that a Gamescom participant was broken in a bag while waiting to play Fortnite ]. Today, rumors are cited on social media. Despite how bad we may want this to be true, according to Epic, it never happened. Sorry!
According to the Playnation.des article, other participants went into the lap and lubricated it around the hall, and the subsequent smell led to a child throwing up. The reason why the pooper did not just leave the queue? To get an exclusive game spray, the rumor goes on.
According to Epic Games PR rep Nick Chester, this special video game convention's nightmare did not happen. (Chester refused to comment on Kotaku .)
A Gamescom participant also said that this story was not true and let to someone threw a stink bomb, but no pooped:
Kotaku reached out to Gamescom about both trapped and stink bomb but did not listen back in time for publication.
The image of someone who is so desperate to get an exclusive subject of a stand-alone game that they hide in a bag confirms so many of the worst stereotypes about people playing games. All players are obsessive, unhygienic and regardless of social norms, right? It's not necessarily true for all players, but I've been to enough nerd-related conventions to know that things can get strange and smelly. This story was only one or two degrees away from the actual brutal things that can go down like Homestuck cosplayers pass around and spit in a bucket. Even Chester tweeted that such a story is not so unlikely at Gamescom.
If this gives some participants ideas about saving time while on Gamescom, please use only the bathroom.
