GameCube controllers for Nintendo Switch are perfect for Super Smash Bros

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate The first entry in the Nintendo Switch series comes in December, which means dedicated players should be looking for a more traditional controller to be used with the game. Fortunately, Performance Design Products (PDP) has just announced an almost perfect copy of the GameCube Controller coming to Switch later this year, and it even contains some improvements that make it perfect for Super Smash Bros.

PDPs GameCube Controllers come in three designs, each styled by some of Nintendo's most iconic characters: Mario version comes in red, Pikachu in yellow, and The Legend of Zelda Link gets a blue model. They connect to the switch via a 1

0-foot USB cable, offering both a dedicated connection and a room to play in most game environments.

However, the best parts are where the controller makes adjustments from the GameCube original. Borrow from the Xbox One's Elite Controls, the correct analogue pin can be swapped, which gives players the choice between either a full stick to the left or the smaller C-Stick style from the GameCube era.

The other major change is that the PDP version has four dedicated shoulder buttons to match the Switch hardware: ZL, L, ZR and R. This is not only a better fit for modern combat games than the GameCube trio of L, R, and Z buttons, but it also means that the controller will be compatible with other Switch titles.

PDP has not shared any price information or accurate release date for the controller, but it is a secure bet that will be available by the 7th of December launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate .
