A rare double geodesic dome house – with slides – in Eden Prairie is for sale for $ 2.99 million.
“Double Domes of Eden Prairie” is an 8050 square foot home on 6525 Rowland Road. Built in 1977, the design of the home is an expression of modern architecture that is “very rare”, Realtor Jason Zoellner told Bring Me The News. Zoellner and Carrie Ledermann, both Edina Realty, have the listing.
The six-bedroom, five-bath home is located on nearly 2 acres of private land a 5-minute walk from Bryant Lake Park, with Zoellner saying his favorite feature is the home’s “elegance and fun all rolled up.”
He says the home would be perfect for “a large family who wants an imaginative escape home for them to grow up in,” noting that the current owners are entrepreneurs with four young children.

The first dome boasts open meeting spaces on the main level, including a large gourmet kitchen, dining room, living room and a three-season porch with a porch. In this dome, there are skylights and windows that provide 360 degrees of natural light, it is stated in the entry.
There is a guest bedroom that opens onto a catwalk in the middle of the other dome, below there is an entertainment room that is accessible via a spiral tube, says the entry. The pleasure room on the lower level has a stage, space for games and an adjoining kitchenette, and behind a bookshelf you will find a hidden theater room.

Also in the lower level of the first dome is a putting green down the hall with monkey bars overhead. At the end of the hallway there is a fitness room, a craft room and stalls.
In the upper parts of both domes are the other bedrooms. The homeowner’s suite is located on top of the first dome and offers, among other things, an outdoor private wooden deck and an indoor Juliet balcony.
The remaining four bedrooms are in the upper area of the second dome, each with a ladder leading up to its own home area.
Outside there are several decks and outdoor areas for entertainment, including an upper deck overlooking the backyard – with a different slide down to the garden. The property also has hiking trails, a man-made pond, a waterfall, perennial gardens and a zipline.
