Android Circuit is here to remind you of some of the many things that happened around Android last week ( and you'll find the weekly Apple News digestion here.

China's Galaxy S10 Confirmation 19659001] Samsung has confirmed more information about the upcoming Galaxy S10 Smily, with entries for flat screen entry level, the usual S10 and the big S10 +. Forbes Gordon Kelly reports :

The Samsung models -sertifiser t is & # 39; SM-G9700 & # 39 ;, & # 39; SM-G9730 & # 39; and & # 39; SM-G9750 & # 39 ;, and they were sent to CMIIT on September 25th.

Breach of the models, you will see that they have an additional number at the end that is geographic and denotes China. More Note 9 Issues and Potential

With note 9 to discover a Lots of small errors, Samsung can use the ability to promote security updates, updates, and all round finishing of its Android phones. I discussed the positive potential of the issues earlier this week and begin with the fast security update in October:

. It should not be a surprise when a company publishes a security update to a smartphone, but too many Android are still seen as missing in ongoing support over iOS. Google addresses this through changes to the Android structure (offering AndroidOne and AndroidGo options), but manufacturers have a role to play to implement and inform users.

Therefore, Samsung's rapid deployment of the October security update to the galaxy units is both welcome and something that the South Korean company should promote heavily. There is also a chance to beat the latest Galaxy Note 9 problems in the camera and the user interface of PR wins when it rolls out the software updates.

Of course, only if problems are solved and this week we were reminded that Note 8 Bluetooth issues are still present in Note 8 and subsequent phones. Piunika Web Has More On It :

Previously, the complainants were suggested to upgrade their connected devices to match Notat 8's latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology. Cut until now, we are in the last quarter of this year, and the notebook has reached Galaxy Note 9. But Bluetooth issues just refuse to budge.

… While most people limit pairing of the phone to the car's headset over Bluetooth, a hit and miss, a bit of battle while pairing with smartwatches, headphones and other Bluetooth devices too

Samsung Galaxy F Folding Phone Delayed Again

Samsung's revolutionary folding smartphone – the supposedly called Galaxy F – was set up for a November disclosure and a limited retail so that the South Korean company could be "first" to the market. Well, the dates are running and we can wait until 2019 to see F. & nbsp; Gordon Kelly answers the question "is it vaporware?" :

I do not think. In August, Koh acknowledged that Samsung would "lose the world's first title" that the launch of the screen-breaking smartphone would deliver. That said, we are no longer talking about a mass market consumer unit, and the expected asking price is jaw release.

Therefore, while the Galaxy F (potentially) still represents the long-term future of smartphones, it's the Galaxy S10 where you should focus your interest. We know that the 10-generation device will have slimmer fittings, an "ultrasound" in-display reader, triple rear cameras, gradient colors and a 5G capability.

3 or 3 XL – Which Pixel is for you?

This week saw a number of hardware launches from Google, including Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. US customers will be able to buy them from next week, Forbes Gordon Kelly has taken a closer look at the two models to find out the differences :

Like the first two generations Pixel, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL again appear to be behind the basket when it comes to design.

In particular, Pixel 3 looks like a shrunk version of last year's Pixel 2XL, and Pixel 3 XL looks at last year's Android iPhone X-bankoffs than the short-sided notch-free and almost no-chess phones we've seen in 2018 from Huawei, Vivo and OnePlus. There is also a delayed movement to the glass back to support wireless charging (more later) and the headphone jack will not return.

Having said that you can get past controversial fascias (at least you can hide Pixel 3 XL notch) There's actually a lot to like.

More details about the Android phones here at Forbes . But if you are looking for a thorough survey of the new Pixel, Nicole Nguyen has all the details on Buzzfeed's & # 39; All you need to know & # 39; Series, including the new "Automatic Call Screening" AI:

To help you avoid conversations from fraudsters, Google adds the Ring to Pixel, a new option like appears when you receive a phone call. When someone calls you, you can press a "Screen call" button and a robust voice will retrieve.

"The person you call uses a screen service and gets a copy of this call. Go ahead and say your name and why you're calling," Google will say. As the caller answers, the digital assistant will transcribe the caller's message for you. If you need more information, you can use one of the function's hermetic answers, which includes "Tell me more" and "Who's this?" There are also buttons for either retrieving or inviting the call so that you can accept or reject

OnePlus Confirms 6T Launch Date

After the launch on Tuesday, October 30th ( reported earlier at Forbes ), OnePlus 6T was expected to go quickly to retail. It is now confirmed that it will take fractionally less than a week for the handset to go for sale. Jon Porter reports :

OnePlus 6T will be available from November 6, OnePlus has confirmed. The phone, which will be announced on a New York event on October 30, still has no official price or specifications, but is expected to include a fingerprint sensor on the display, becoming the first OnePlus device to be shipped without a 3.5 mm headphone jack .

Nokia aims to succeed

Meanwhile I have reviewed HMD Global's flagship strategy and why there is not enough Nokia 9 to fight the iPhone XS and Galaxy S9 lineups . The answer is that the Nokia brand again goes for the low cost high volume market .

Given HMD Globals booted DNA is blended with many former Nokia employees who were around for the first time wave of 21st century smartphones, it should not be a big surprise that the old Nokia approach with high volume low margin is a part of the HMD Global Approach.

This does not mean that the Finnish-based start-up ignores the highest specifications. Nokia 8 Sirocco took up an update with Nokia 8 Sirocco that focused on a fashionable design and bumping up some specifications (such as a larger screen and increased memory) – but it does not feel like playing Top Trumps bingo and maximum each number in the specification sheet itself if there is a clear gap in the Nokia 9 product naming system.

Razer Phone 2 Released

After launching its first gaming smartphone last year, Razer has revealed Razer Phone 2 . While the name is incredibly predictable, the hardware retains much of the same shape and function as the 2017 model, but with improved specifications and software optimizations as needed. Samuel Axon has taken a look at the figures :

Razer claims that it has managed to make this phone faster than most thanks to the "steam chamber cooling" that the company says allows the phone to draw 20-30 percent more power than competing Android phones. It is related to similar technology used in the Razer Blade gaming laptop.

Razer Phone 2 also has a powerful 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. Other specifications and features include a 4000mAh battery, IP67 water resistance, gigabit LTE, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0+. As its predecessor, it comes only in a storage configuration at launch-64 GB, but it has a microSD slot for additional storage.

More at Ars Technica . Forbes Ben Sin has also had some time with the handset :

Last year, Razer Phone was loved by many for its 120Hz screen that pumped twice as many frames per second as other phone screens, something which resulted in noticeably more fluid, smooth animations; and large stereo speakers facing forward and having the highest and most sound in any mobile device. These two hardware features return in the 2018 iteration for the most part unchanged, but they are still enough to increase everything else on the market in both areas.

Finally …

After the exclusive period negotiated by Samsung, Epic Games & # 39; Fortnite Battle Royale can now be downloaded to the Android Ecosystem (although Some low-end phones can feel like the last generation of home consoles. Andrew Webster gets ready to play :

Epic announced that the Android version of the game is open to anyone with a compatible device, so you no longer needs an invitation to play. For Android released in August exclusively for Samsung Galaxy devices before you open up to several smartphones a few days later. Unlike most Android games, it has its own installer so you can not find it in the Google Play store. [19659012] One how to guide and more details about the release can be found at The Verge .
