At the moment, the GenDesign website hosts the “We hope you have a great year” note and a photo from 2021 with Ico, The shadow of the colossus, The Last Guardian, and an as yet unnamed fourth game. Things are changing, but back in 2018, Ueda said his new game would have a scale on par with its previous three.
As much as people have chosen their favorite Ueda games, and not everyone likes them all, I think everything he has directed has been imaginative and thought-provoking. I’m curious to see what specific elements this next game adapts and introduces, but I’m fine with that.
