A $ 250 Gengar pillow is launched in Japan, and it … well, it fits the character.
But if you want to get it, you probably already have good luck. The plush, developed by P-Bandai, was made available for pre-order last night, but was sold out in less than 75 minutes.
The pillow, styled after the classic ghost Pokemon, is 48 cm high and 53 cm wide. It’s slightly smaller than the ‘real’ size – Pokedex puts the average Gengar at 1.5 meters from tail to tip – but it compensates for its small body with its huge tongue. Bound in the main body of the pillow, there is more than five meters of padding, which can be rolled out for several (apparently) sleep-related purposes.

It is not clear if there will be a new wave of pre-orders or sales, or if the item will ever be shipped separately outside of Japan. As devastating as it can be, you can at least rest in the knowledge that the pad is pretty accurate for Pokémon games, thanks to Gengar’s ability to learn both Lick and Hypnosis.
