Epic has announced a delay in the 6.21 update for Fortnite. Originally scheduled for launch today, October 31 at 2:00 PM PT / 4 AM ET / 9 AM BST, the update has been postponed to November 1st. According to Epic, the delay is a result of a "last minute problem" discovered in Fortnite's new building.
The battle for royal combat was scheduled to end on October 31 for maintenance while the update was installed, but it is no longer the case. Players should expect Fortnite to go down on November 1st instead. As with previous Fortnite updates, patches for 6.21
Fortnite is currently in the midst of its limited time, Halloween-themed event called Fortnitemares. Introduced October 23th in update 6.20, lasting the event to early November and introduces a new PvP mode that meshes both Fortnite's popular Battle Royale and original Save The World. "Explore all the tasty treats, exciting looks and new looks," said Epic Games about the event. "Under Fortnitemares, you want to meet Cube Monsters in a whole new way to play Battle Royale. There are new weapons that fight back against these creepy creatures, such as Six Shooter and Fiend Hunter Crossbow."

Fortnitemare Battle Royale Challenges
- Destroy Cube Monsters (200) – 500 XP
- Deal Injury With Abuse. If you manage to complete enough of them, you will earn some spooky new rewards. Rifles or guns for cube samples (5000) – 500 XP
- Visit a broken area in different matches (7) – 500 XP
- Dance on different Gargoyles (5) – 500 XP
