Fortnite fans dreaming of a white Christmas have found the first real evidence in the battle that their snowy wishes will come true and temperatures begin to fall over the Battle Royale Island.
For those who are not familiar with Recent Events in Fortnite, the players first discovered a mysterious storm of cloud that forms on the horizon of the island almost a week ago. Its arrival was accompanied by more carefully timed cosmetics, all indicating deep temperatures in Fortnite's future, and leading fans wondered that the newly arrived storm cloud would launch a cold front from the south ̵

In another example of Epics growing flair for environmental narration, and in a glorious flower, the players are waiting for A battle to begin on Fortnite's island has noticed that their breath can now be seen as being a little condensing in front of them. It's subtle, but irreparable – as evidenced by Eurogamer's Emma "Keen-eyed" Kent in the videos above.
Geographically this is of course quite reasonable; Fortnites boot island – located just south of the main map – is closest to the nearest point of the incoming storm cloud (or snow storm, as we might call it), and probably likely to suffer the effects at the earliest.
That ol "Stormsky is still a road but it is possible that we will not see any more dramatic changes in the weather until the start of Fortnite is almost certainly festive season 7 in a few weeks. At this point, I realize that it's practically a point that Epic is heading up a snowy winter wonderland for Fortnite fans this Christmas.
