Some Fortnite players believe they have found a great way for people to receive attack aircraft on the popular match royal title mode, with the return of a former vaulted element to make it happen.
The idea, which was posted on Fortnite subreddit, would potentially discourage players from using the game's X-4 Stormwing aircraft as battering frames to destroy buildings.
This would be done by bringing back the Clinger item, which was vaulted by the Epic Games in 7.00 patch-making it no longer available in Battle Royale mode.
The Clinger, who was vaulted from Fortnite Battle Royale in 7.00 patch.
"Not only would sticking a Clinger to a plane be satisfactory as hell, but it would deter pilots from flying too close to players who could potentially Clinger their aircraft and cause not only damage to the plane but also themselves "Reddit's user disciplines said.
The Clinger was an unusually explosive device that would hold onto the thing you threw it on, like a Semtex grenade from the Call of Duty games.
Presently, aircraft at Fortnite are able to destroy buildings by shock and have a machine gun on the front, which the pilot can use in battle.
X-4 Stormwing fighter aircraft, introduced at the beginning of Fortnite Season 7.
X-4 Stormwings has come under great control since they were added to the game in Fortnite's v7.00 patch that players would not Initially take damage if they were destroyed, which may have encouraged pilots to use them more aggressively than perhaps Epic had hoped.
However, the developer announced that the aircraft would receive a significant drop in the v7.10 update, which went live on December 19.
The aircraft now take up to 50% more damage than they did in the past, passengers and pilot receive 50% damage instead of 25% when the vehicle is broken and increase reduces damage from half of the contradiction to none at all.
Is the re-introduction of Clinger really necessary since the update? We'll let you decide.
