Sony is absolutely sure that the best gaming experience is actually given on the console. The sought after Fortnite crossplay feature has once again been downloaded by PlayStation 4 creators. Fortnite crossplay has been continuously desired by players in the game royal game, but as Sony has not been impressed by the reasons for that side.
The basic argument that Sony has put forward is that players have the ultimate game on PS4 so you do not have to turn to other consoles to make their experiences all the way.
The even more frustrating thing about Sony's strict policy on Fortnite crossplay for the user base was not to be able to switch user accounts.
Xbox and PC users have this option.
Fans even came to the point where petitions were launched online for Sony to allow Fortnite crossplay. On the other hand, Sony met the backlash with a certain attitude. Sony's CEO, Kenichiro Yoshida, created that they can not afford to compromise on their PS4 as the best game console. He recently talked about the Fortnite crossplay in Berlin at IFA's technology show:
On cross-platform, our mindset is always that PlayStation is the best place to play. Fortnite, I think, the collaboration with PlayStation 4 is the best experience for users, it's our belief
But in fact, we already opened some games as a cross-platform with PC and some others, so we decide based on what's the best user experience. It's our way of thinking about cross-platform.
The game Royal Game has collected a large user base of 1
While the reputable abilities of competing companies in the gaming industry, Yoshida said:
I think competition is always good. Healthy, fair competition is always good for industry and growth. I think competition with Nintendo and Xbox is a healthy situation.
Yoshida commented on the future of PlayStation VR, which has sold 3 million units so far:
Virtual reality is a truly unique experience, still evolving, VR is still at a very early stage and a potential evolution of VR is a mixed reality. One of the problems with VR is that you can not see outside, it's a bit dangerous – you have to sit down to use it. Also, (the question also arises) VR motion disorder. So there's a lot of room to enhance your VR experiences and you'll see the change and improvement.
It seems that Sony will not allow crossplay any time soon.
