After a round of server maintenance, a new update is now available for Fortnite. Patch 5.30 has come on all platforms – PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Mobile – and introduces new features to both the Battle Royale and Save the World modes, along with a selection of bug fixes and other enhancements. 19659002] On the Battle Royale side, Epic has introduced the previously-teased Rift-to-Go. As the name suggests, this Epic rarity element is a portable rift that you can use to creep into the air and slide back down. Rifts will last for 10 seconds when they have been activated, so other players will also have a short time window to jump into them.
Epic has also tweaked a handful of other weapons in Battle Royale. Now, Clingers will only detonate when the timer is up, while the Double Barrel Shotgun spread is reduced by 1
In addition to that, the latest update marks the start of a new limited time mode called Score Royale. This mode has scrambling players to be the first to exceed the specified high score and they will earn points by collecting coins, obtaining loot and eliminating other players. The storm circle at the start of the match is also greater than normal, while late game circles close faster.
On the Save the World page, Epic has added Bundle Bus Assault Rifle to the Weekly Store. This powerful new gun with a large magazine will only be available from 23rd to 23th. August. A new Horde Weekly Challenge is now available.
