Former Dallas Fuel pro Félix "xQc" Lengyel has been suspended from Overwatch again. He was twice suspended during the Overwatch League season, the first time to make homophobic comments to an opponent, the second time to use "an emoticon in a racial way" while reporter Malik Forté, who is black, was on screen . Dallas Fuel dropped him quickly from his list.
Now he has been suspended for persistent "insulting languages" aimed at other players in the game, leaving his place in next month's Overwatch World Cup with Team Canada in doubt.
On Twitter, xQc said it was "never my intention to harass or use i-chat discussion in an abusive manner", claiming that much of the language was just "banter".
It's never my intention to harass or use in-game chat in an offensive manner. Banter is fun and 100% of the time I write something to someone I know they play together and will not be hurt. If I've ever written something and you're really hurt, I'm sorry. I want to be better. August 12, 2018
Thank you, RPS .
