In an interview with the hosts of “Game Hack”, a Japanese based radio program, producer Naoki Yoshida revealed more details about Final Fantasy XVI. This included a discussion of the different modes that will be available in Final Fantasy XVI, of which one will cater to players who are more focused on the story elements of the upcoming main title. In addition, Yoshida discussed his ambitions about the story and what he hopes to convey through the story. [Thanks, Games Talk!]
Regarding the fight against Final Fantasy XVIYoshida revealed that the game will contain both story and action elements. However, a Final Fantasy XVI story-focused mode will be available for those who are not so used to action-oriented games. This mode will include a series of support actions, which were not described in the interview and only mentioned. However, Yoshida noted that the gameplay will be smooth and easy to get hold of.
When we discuss the story of Final Fantasy XVI, Yoshida talked about her experience as from the generation that was able to experience the series from the beginning. He stated that he wanted to “create a world in Final Fantasy the universe that those who understand the complexity and reality of good and evil can be thrilled about. “In addition, Yoshida mentioned that this entry will focus on difficulties and experiences of growing up, which he hopes people can just as passionately care about.
Final Fantasy XVI is currently under development for PlayStation 5. It was announced in early October 2020 that basic development and scenario production for Final Fantasy XVI was done.
