It was a surprise when FFAR was not mentioned in Warzone Season 2 reloaded patch notes, with players expecting a nerf. But the weapon actually became nerves – due to major changes in attachments.
Although it will require further testing to verify, players immediately noticed that the FFAR load felt less effective. In particular, the ADS time on the weapon feels much longer.
Warzone streamer and NRG member JoeWo was one of the first to spread the word about a possible FFAR nerf, posting “From one game it seems like AUG is still GODLY and FFAR is terrible now … quite the opposite of the patch notes.”
In the note notes, the Cold War AUG was the only weapon specifically targeted at a nerf, and deserved, as it has dominated the meta.
FFAR stealth nerfed in Warzone?

And he was not the only one. FaZe Clan streamer Swagg also said it felt like AUG had not been “affected”, while FFAR now had “slow ass ADS.”

FFAR attachment changes
According to YouTube JGOD, which has done its own testing, FFAR has become “quite hard”. The reason is that the Takedown dish, a popular choice for FFAR, has been changed.
“It no longer helps with bullet speed, I tested this,” JGOD explains, “and it does not help you with penalties, so it’s much slower.” The reason for the slower ADS time can also be attributed to Salvo 50 Rnd fixed mag, which now has huge ADS penalties.
For this reason, you will avoid the Fast Mags and Takedown barrel on FFAR from now on.
The weapon’s damage appears to be the same, and it’s only the attachment changes that are making all the difference in Warzone right now.
These attachment adjustments will also affect the M16, so the same rules apply here as well. It’s time to rework many of your FFAR loads.
