Time to burn battery life
Fantastic, the new dioramic RPG from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, launched at Apple Arcade. But as it turns out, it was not the only game that came to the service.
Apple announced today that over 30 games are coming to the subscription game service, spread across new games and old classics. In addition to the new originals, Apple launched two new categories: Timeless Classic and App Store Greats.
The Classics section has some long-standing standards: for example, a chess and backgammon app, as well as the fairly solid Good Sudoku by Zach Gage. App Store Greats, meanwhile, has a number of mobile classics without advertising and completely unlocked, including Fruit Ninja Classic, Mini Metro, and Trees!, who is responsible for many lost hours for me personally.
A big surprise is PlatinumGames̵
And of course it is Fantastic, which has a very interesting combat system that allows you to put monsters in a pocket dimension and fight against them all at once. In addition, it has a bunch of miniatures and dioramas that look very pretty.
As an Android owner, I am admittedly a little jealous. Hopefully Fantastic takes the road to other services like some of the other Arcade hits like Slipestein have. Check out the Apple blog for the complete list of games coming to the service, including some real surprises like Taiko no Tatsujin: Pop Tap Beat and swipe RPG Reigns.
