Fallout 76 need some new content, and based on today’s roadmap, players will have to wait until the summer to get it.
While welcome new game features and continued quality of life improvements are planned throughout the rest of the year, no new history assignments will be added Fallout 76 until July at the earliest, based on the game recently unveiled roadmap from 2021. Here is a loose overview of what is to come:
- Spring: Special loads, clay machines, mannequins, daily ops expansion, design of sliders, visual aids on the console.
- Summer: Steel Reign mission, expanded legendary craftsmanship, unlimited seasonal range.
- Fall: Changes in private servers, daily expansion of options.
- Winter: More four-star legendary equipment, a new seasonal event about cults, alien based public events, camping animals.
It’s been almost a year since Bethesda outlined Fallout 76its new seasonal model and match pass reward system. While game has got some new content since then, a lot of it has been based on not-så-fun daily and weekly grinding. Summer’s conclusion of The Brotherhood of Steel story with Steel Reign will eventually end up being Fallout 76its first piece with significant new content in several months out of season updates.
ONEas much as I enjoyed the mini-campaign ‘first half, it’s actually clay animals that I’m most looking forward to. While Fallout 76 currently has a system for subdue and capture creatures out in the wild, it ‘a boring and full system that many people understandably have never bothered with.
But winter is still a long way off. Bethesda says it will have more information to reveal about the rest of the plans for Fallout 76 this year in an AMA on Reddit on March 23 (tomorrow) at 11.30 EDT.
