Just a few years after Fallout 4's release, Bethesda surprised fans by officially announcing Fallout 76, the next post in his beloved post-apocalyptic RPG franchise. The new game was revealed in a trailer after a series of teases, and Bethesda discussed it in more detail on E3 2018 and later on QuakeCon 2018. While there is still so much we do not yet know about Bethesda's upcoming game, the company has offered some clarity about Fallout 76's most curious features and addition to the Fallout formula.
To keep you up to date on all that is about Fallout 76, we've gathered all the information we have on the game so far: the platforms it's on, its online functionality, its anti-griefing features, and where the game falls in the series timeline.
What is Fallout 76?
Fallout 76 is a prequel to all previous Fallout games. Seen in 21
Longtime fans will probably recognize Vault 76; Although it is not a place we have visited before, this is not the series's first mention of it. Both Fallout 3 and 4 refer to it, and according to Fallout Wikia, this west-vaulted vault was occupied by 500 of America's best and brightest minds. Unlike the more grotesque experimental vaults of the Fallout universe, Vault 76 is a control vault that will open 20 or so after a nuclear war. But if the vault should open 20 years after bombs fell, why have 25 years gone? The story probably has a few surprises in the store.
Fallout 76 uses Creation Engine, the same engine used to create Fallout 4, but apparently it has much more graphic detail than its predecessor. Game Director Todd Howard has said Fallout 76 has a new rendering and lighting technology, giving "16 times" the details.
Who does it develop?
Bethesda Game Studios, the Maryland-based developer responsible for the older rolls series and both Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, is at work at the game. In addition, Bethesda Game Studios Austin – former BattleCry Studios – helped fine-tune Creation Engine to support multiplayer functionality.
Is there an online survival game?
Fallout 76 is a much different game type from its predecessors. It's "completely online," but do not worry, you'll also be able to play it alone. According to Bethesda, the idea of taking this approach to worldly survival came four years ago when it began to work on building a multiplayer Fallout experience. Howard described the game's approach to survival as "softcore", meaning death does not correspond to loss of progression.
You can form a party with up to three other players. You will not be able to manage your location on servers when you log in, as you are automatically added to a session with others when you start the game. Of course, you also have the opportunity to join your friends and play together.

Howard commented that Fallout 76 would have dedicated servers that will support the game "now and in the years to come." At launch, public servers will only be available, but Bethesda plans to introduce private servers that allow players to invite friends to play to prevent unwanted behavior.
Some Classic mechanics from previous games will change to accommodate the switch to online games. For example, V.A.T.S has been reconfigured to work in real time, while players can still target the particular body's body parts. But this time it has been updated to be more a tool that allows you to see dangers in the environment.
How big is the world?
According to Howard, Fallout 76's world is four times bigger by Fallout 4. There are six different regions to explore and each has its own unique style, risk and benefits. Confirmed areas include West Virginia State Capitol, The Greenbrier, Woodburn Circle, the New River Gorge Bridge and Camden Park. Within each area there are a number of new creatures to meet, some of which are based on West Virginian folklore.
What can you do?
As previous games, players will spend most of their time exploring and completing quests. However, Fallout 76 will not contain any human non-player characters, as all surviving people will be controlled by active players. Instead, the game will use a combination of robotic NPCs, collecting and environmental narration to give players what they need to study assignments and history as a whole.
Given the game's premise of rebuilding the world, there will be base building elements similar to Fallout 4. You will be able to set up a base anywhere using an item called Mobile Platform for Construction and Installation or CAMP. These can be placed down the world and allow you to construct an improvised clay. On the E3 we saw the player lay down walls and decorate the base with pool tables, toilets and other household items. As the "mobile platform" part of the name implies, CAMP can also be retrieved and moved so you can move your base anywhere in the world.
While you can help build the world, you can even destroy it. If you have the necessary nuclear boot codes, it is actually possible to access a rocket silo to burn a nude at any time on the map. It contests the chosen area, but it also allows for the detection of rare weapons, equipment and objects. Be careful; Nuking an area also causes more powerful enemies to come up, making it harder to survive. But do not be discouraged by this, the CAMP blueprint system makes it easy for players to quickly rebuild their homes and if they are exposed to an incoming threat, they can pack their stuff and move to a new place.
As an online experience, the players' choice is said to be incredibly important goes so far as giving players the freedom to choose who are heroes and who are the villains. Early recording shows more players participating in a match and participating in friendly activities, which indicates that players have the freedom to choose their courses in Fallout 76.
How does character recovery and progress work?
Have similar tools for creating characters like Fallout 4. However, you are free to change your appearance at any time. In addition, you can also use the game's new photo mode during the creation process to better see how the figure looks and get some photos you can share on social media.
The SPECIAL system returns and is a little different. As previous games, SPECIAL includes the following statistics: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck. You get a point to insert any of these statistics each time you go up. The first thing you do when you get out of the vault, choose a SPECIAL, and then choose an advantage in the current SPECIAL. Essentially, each SPESIAL is a point of points for your benefits.
But unlike previous games, perks are now short you can equip and unlock when you rank in a given SPECIAL; However, you are free to swap cards at any time if you want to change your building. Each special feature you develop has a perk card kit of 15. These perk cards can be further improved from one to five points to increase their strength.
You can get extra perk cards via Perk Card Packs (four random cards), as you earn each two levels first (1-10), and then every 5. after that. You can also choose a perk card per level, usually from your SPECIAL choice. There are hundreds of Perks cards that you can unlock, so of course SPESIELLE ranks out after a while (you get a ranking in a SPECIAL every time you go up). At level 50 you stop by increasing SPESIALRanger, but you still get card packages.
How does PvP work?
When shooting someone, you do some damage, which can be equated with easy slapping them to challenge them to a duel. In response to this, the other player may choose to ignore or engage. If they violate you, they start to take full damage. The person killed in this consent The PvP match has the opportunity to seek revenge. If you do, it gives the person the opportunity to get the double rewards given that they are successful.
If you choose to ignore a PvP match, it is not possible to escape to be killed – despite the slight damage you had during the initiation phases. However, if you are killed by a player under these circumstances, the player becomes a Wanted Killer and will not receive any rewards from killing you.
A wanted murderer is marked on the map as a red star, and a win is placed on their heads. Players wishing to earn money on this bounty are not visible on the murderer's map. If the killer is killed, the money from that bounty will be taken out of their share.
To give players time to take care of how Fallout 76 plays, PvP will not be available to players before level five. And if you come to the bottom of any PvP meeting, the only thing you want to lose is the garbage you've collected that can be recovered after death if it's not already downloaded by other players. You can always save trash in stashes found around the world to protect part of your warehouse. Armor and weapons are kept in your warehouse after death.
Any voice chat?
It's possible to chat with your teammates and even strangers you discover out in the world. It is area based, so the ability to hear other games will vary. But if you do not have anything to do with strangers, it's possible to completely mute their voices.
When is Beta?
Falout 76s beta will be available solely for those who preorder the game. Bethesda said it would start choosing participants from the pool at pre-orders in early October. The plan is to start small and expand over time. Xbox One owners have a small leg on beta compared to other platforms. For more information, check out Bethesda's Fallout 76 FAQ for more information on how to redeem your code.
Fallout 76 is developed for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and is now scheduled to be released on November 14th. Unfortunately, there is no word about a Nintendo Switch release, which did not work out of the question after the Skyrim release made it to that platform.
