Everything announced during today's Nintendo Direct

Today, Nintendo hosted its first direct presentation for a while, announcing many Switch and 3DS ports, and plagued the following year Animal Crossing and announced that Luigi's Mansion 3 is in development for Switch.

It was a quick info-blast, and easy to miss the actual news among the things we already knew about. Let's hit it down.

A new Luigi's Mansion game is in development for Switch.

It's tentatively called Luigi's Mansion 3 and given how much I loved Dark Moon I'm super here for it. Nintendo initially did not share anything else about the game, but it's nice to see that Luigi is not dead, after all. Then again … I mean the game is about ghosts … maybe in the end we find out that he was dead all the time .

Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn comes to 3DS.

I've never played this, but I've heard it's amazing. It wants new mini-games. I'm usually in yarn-based games, and this game is charming enough for me to refrain from commenting on how much I wish it would come to Switch, instead.

Bowser's Inside Story also comes to 3DS.

It will include Bowser Jr. Journey which is a new adventure in the world of the original game. Bowser Jr. sucks, but these games are fun so I'm torn. It will be released on January 11, 2019.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe comes to Switch.

I have a soft place for these New Super Mario Bros. game that fits well into the Switch library along with Super Mario Odyssey . The Deluxe Edition will include New Super Luigi U . It's out January 11, 2019.

Katamari Damacy Receives a Switch Remaster.

Confession: I have never played Katamari Damacy. I know! It's a blind spot! The switch port uses the switch's gyro controls and supports multiplayer and I can not wait to finally play it. Katamari Damacy Rerolled is out this winter.

Nintendo shared more about their new Switch online service.

It's out on September 18th and will support online games, classic NES games with online support and cloud saving (for most games, anyway). Hopefully you will not break the switch in the next couple of weeks. It costs $ 3.99 for a month, $ 7.99 for three months and $ 19.99 for 12 months.

The switch will get a new NES style control.

The controls connect wirelessly to the switch and will work with all classic NES games.

You can also leave them by adding them to Joy-Con. It makes the switch look like it has big ears, lmao. They come in packages of two and will cost $ 60 and will apparently only be available to people with paid Nintendo online accounts. They have not yet a clear release date.

Game Freak makes a new RPG for Switch.

It is called Town, which is a work title. It will involve protecting a city from monsters, and will be out in 2019.

Towns: Skylines come to Swap … today!

People love this game, which took up the relay Sim City fell. This seems like the kind of game that can work well on Switch, if they can get the interface correct. The Switch version contains both published extensions.

As we knew, Civilization VI also comes to Switch.

We already knew this because of some announcements that came out soon after Nintendo initially delayed this directly, but the infinite addictive civilization VI comes to Switch. It wants four-player local multiplayer and it's out on November 16th. I'm a little worried about how much a portable version of Civilization could dominate my life.

World of Final Fantasy, also comes on Switch.

It is called the World of Final Fantasy: Maxima and is out on November 6th.

Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age is … you guessed it! Will swap.

Oh man! I played a lot of this on PS4, but would love it on exchange. It will be otu next year.

Final Fantasy s VII IX X and X-2 Remaster will all be exchanged next year.

There is a lot Final Fantasy ! There is probably more Final Fantasy than I can handle. I start with XII and leave from there.

Animal Crossing s Isabelle comes to Super Smash Bros . Ultimate .

First I thought it would be all his Animal Crossing news, but Nintendo was nice enough to follow up this announcement with a Tom Nook centric teaser for The Switch Animal Crossing which will be out in 2019.

Couple Other Things: We are reminded that the original Luigi's Mansion comes to 3DS with a new two-player co- on October 12th; more on Yo-Kai Watch Blasters & # 39; Upcoming New Content; Splatoon 2 Gives yet another set of maps and modes in Version 4; Mario Tennis Aces gets a new update on September 19th with Birdo, Shy Guy, Koopa Paratroopa, and Petey Piranha as playable characters; Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle will introduce a variety of classic Capcom games for up to 4 players; The switch gets some table games like Carcassonne The Lord of the Rings: The Living Card Game and Pandemic, Munchkin and Catan ; This fall's Switch port of World Ends With You will contain some new areas and enemies; Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Everybuddy is coming to Swap this winter; and Warframe hits Turn on November 20th.

And it's about it! No sign of Resident Evil 4 or Metroid Prime HD Collection Ports, but I guess it will make me even happier when they finally announce them.
