A recent Apple filing in the European Economic Database contains six new Apple Watch models, which indicate rumors say Apple Watch Series 4 is coming this fall may be right.
Consomac found Apple Watch Series 4 Model Numbers. They include A1977, A1978, A1975, A1976, A2007 and A2008.
These numbers do not provide model details, so we have to wonder what's not coming this year. Last year, Apple released six LTE with GPS models (aluminum, stainless steel, pottery) in two sizes and two sizes on the only GPS (aluminum) model.
Since there are only six model numbers this year instead of eight, the two most likely scenarios are that Apple releases the ceramic models from its setup, or all models will include LTE support. If the ceramic Apple Watch models are not big sellers, they may stand for their death. Alternatively, Apple can streamline the product line by removing GPS-only models from the mix and running up the base price at the same time.
Apple says that iOS 12 and watchOS 5 come this fall. The company is also typical of a media event in September to introduce new iPhone models. Apple can use that event to uncover new Apple Watch models.
Reports also say that new iPad Pro models come at the same time. In that case this fall will be quite expensive.
