There is little left for the imagination about next month’s Samsung Galaxy S21 release, especially after more details have been leaked about the upcoming flagship phone. But it sounds like you can pay less for Samsung’s latest.
That’s the word from WinFuture, who recently published a detailed account of what to expect from the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the largest member of the S21 series prepped for a rumored January 14 release. WinFuture has a pretty good track record when it comes to accurate specific leaks, so it’s worth paying attention to the latest news about the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus.
And we really hope the leaks are correct in this case, as they suggest that Samsung̵
Similarly, the Galaxy S21 Plus is expected to cost € 1049. This is a slight reduction from the price of € 1,071 that Samsung charges for the Galaxy S20 Plus in Germany.
What these rumored prices mean for the final costs of the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus in the US, some are assuming. But it sounds like Samsung could profit from the rumor of charging less for its upcoming flagships, to better compete with Apple’s phones, where you can get an iPhone 12 from $ 799.

As for the other specifications in the WinFuture report, they are very similar to what we have heard from previous Galaxy S21 leaks. The S21 and S21 Plus are very similar, sharing the same Snapdragon 888 system-on-chip in their US versions – in the rest of the world, an Exynos 2100 will power the two phones – as well as identical camera layouts. On the back you will find a 12MP main shooter supported by a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 120 degree field of view and a 64MP telephoto lens that can deliver a 3x optical hybrid zoom.
It is in size and battery that the two Galaxy S21 models will vary. WinFuture reports that the S21 will have a 6.2-inch Full HD + AMOLED screen, placed in a 6 x 2.8 x 0.31-inch frame that weighs in at just over 6 grams. The Galaxy S21, meanwhile, has a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with the same resolution. It measures 6.4 x 3 x 0.31 inches and weighs 7.2 grams.
Both phones will offer screens with 120Hz refresh rates, but only the Galaxy S21 Ultra has an adaptive refresh rate.
Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus battery life
When it comes to battery life, the Galaxy S21 has a 4000 mAh power pack, the same size as the one found in the Galaxy S20. The Galaxy S21 Plus gets a larger battery than its predecessor, and chooses a capacity of 4800 mAh, according to the WinFuture report. This is in line with previous rumors about both phones.
We do not have to wait long to see how accurate this leak is. Rumors suggest that Samsung will hold its first unpacked event in 2021 on January 14, with the Galaxy S21 phones coming in stores by the end of the month.
