Engelbert Humperdinck makes a desperate prayer after he and his wife, actress Patricia Healey, got the novel coronavirus.

The 84-year-old singer asked for prayers in a heartfelt video shared Instagram and Facebook on Wednesday, saying that their COVID-1

9 diagnosis has “made it quite impossible” for Healey to see medical professionals as she continues to struggle with Alzheimer’s.

“That’s why it’s hit her pretty hard, and she does not eat or drink,” he shared. “With all your prayers coming together, God will send the right message and the right angels and the right people to lay hands on her.”

“Please help with a quick prayer. That’s the most important thing,” Humperdinck continued.

In the caption, “The Last Waltz” crooner wrote that he and his family “need a miracle for my dear wife.”

“Her Alzheimer’s and the battle of Covid have left her in need of all the love she has ever given to return to her a million times,” he explained.

According to Humperdinck, the family prayed at 8 p.m. PST each night for Healey and “all those suffering from the pandemic and other life-threatening illnesses.”

“Therefore, my friends, I do not feel selfish in this questioning, as we all have to pray for each other,” he wrote, asking fans to join him in prayer.

Humperdinck added that he feels for those who cannot be with his loved ones during the pandemic, and he is “grateful” for the time he spends with his wife.

Humperdinck first spoke about his and Healey’s COVID-19 diagnosis in late January, writing on Twitter: “After almost a year of abundance of care and attention, Covid has caught up with us and found a way into our home …”

“Now we must not let a positive result lead to a negative mindset, but I must say that I can use your help in this department. We ask that prayers, good energy, love and support be sent our way,” he tweeted.

“My biggest ‘ask’ is to my dear wife, Patricia (Popea),” Humperdinck told fans. “She has been through so much and does everything necessary. She is an incredible woman of strength. Please keep our wonderful caregivers in your prayers.”
