Co-founder of Elon Musk’s company Neuralink tweeted on Saturday that the startup has technological advances and knowledge of creating its own “Jurassic Park.”
“We could probably build Jurassic Park if we wanted to,” Max Hodak said twitret Saturday. “Would not be genetically authentic dinosaurs, however [shrugging emoji]. Maybe 15 years of breeding + engineering to get super exotic novel species. ”

In the movie “Jurassic Park”
Launched in 2017, Neuralink is working to create brain-computer interface with the hope of one day helping, among others, those affected by Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, paralysis and spinal cord injuries.
In August 2020, Musk debuted Gertrude, a pig that Neuralink had implanted in a small computer chip in his brain. The chip was planted near the part of the brain that controls the snout, so when Gertrude ate, a computer displayed waves and spikes sent out from the chip, monitoring Gertrude’s neural response.
Hodak did not further explain what technology Neuralink could use to construct the extinct dinosaurs.
