Destiny 2 s Dawning winter event comes to an end on January 1, but until then, players may want to take advantage of a light farm in order to save on Enhancement Cores and equipment including trying for multiple rolls of event-specific machine gun, avalanche.
This farming method is specific to The Dawning because it utilizes the baking activity during the event. This method will be especially good for those who have played Destiny 2 since the beginning of The Dawning, and who can sit on a large stock of baked goods.
The key here is to focus on recipes for tower suppliers. Don't worry about storing recipes for vendors at all destinations around the solar system as the journey to and from each planet will slow down this farm. Bake up the recipes with all sorts of materials for the tower suppliers, then run around the tower and live them. Doing so has a chance of releasing Enhancement Cores, Legendary gear and The Dawning-specific Lavine machine gun, which will fall with random benefits. Destiny YouTuber Mesa Sean shows the farm here:
Check this list of baked goods and this list of ingredients to maximize where in the game you are going to play to gather the necessary ingredients especially for tower suppliers. Probably the ingredient players will start running out, and soon there will be Dawning Essence, but some activities are more rewarding than others. Gambit and Nightfalls are most rewarding per completion with shorter activities such as patrols and public events, which reward less per completion.
This farming method will only work under The Dawning, which is currently running and ending on January 1, so hopefully this method may provide some focused benefits as the event comes down.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
