Back on E3, EA made a rather surprising announcement that revealed a new subscription card for its Origin Access service. Dubbed Origin Access Premier, this new tier will give subscribers full access to the company's latest releases. In many cases, a premium subscription will give users early access to EA's new titles like Battlefield V and FIFA 19 so that subscribers get the opportunity to play them before everyone else.
When EA announced this new subscription class last month, it did not give us a start date. It all changed during a recent conference call with investors, where the company announced that Origin Access Premier will launch next week.
When done, existing Origin Access accounts will become basic accounts and subscribers will be able to upgrade. Existing accounts will only change in name, as basic accounts will continue to offer 1
Upgrading to a Premier Account still provides 10% discount and Vault access, but in a recently published FAQ, EA says that subscribers will get "Full, unlimited access to our games, starting five days before they start." Access stays unlimited as long as you maintain your subscription, set at $ 14.99 per month.
So if you look forward to incoming titles like Battlefield V Madden 19 or FIFA 19 but you do not like the idea of dropping $ 60 for each of them sounds like getting a Premier subscription may not be a bad way to play through them all. It is also worth pointing out that EA plans to offer Anthem through Origin Access Premier, but we have some time to wait for it. What do you think about this new tier of Origin Access?
