Dropbox doubles storage for professional users from 1TB to 2TB

Dropbox has only doubled the amount of storage it offers customers of its Professional level, from 1TB to 2TB. The company notes in a blog post that the increase in collaboration around ultra hi-def files, like 4K video and interactive presentations, means the overall perception of how much cloud storage is acceptable for the pro work to change. So Dropbox decides to give its users a little extra at no cost. The current Professional Plan, which is an upgraded version of Dropbox's Standard Consumption Plus Plan, costs around $ 200 a year.

If you are a Dropbox Business user, which means your business pays for your account, you also get an additional 1

TB of storage added to your plan. Only teams that pay for Business Standard, which is $ 12.50 per user per month for a shared data pool, get free storage from 2TB to 3TB. (If your company pays for Dropbox Business Advanced, you get unlimited storage.) Dropbox states that storage upgrades are now in force for new customers who buy plans starting today, while existing customers will see that the increase will take effect over the next few weeks .
