Square Enix will be releasing silver wedding rings based on Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. Circle of Fire and Circle of Water will be available in Japan on April 10, 2021. Although the Circle of Fire was originally worn by the hero and the Circle of Water by the bride in Dragon Quest V. games, both rings can be used by anyone regardless of gender in real life. The rings are available in odd-numbered sizes from No. 9 to No. 23. (In US sizes it will be 5 to 11.)
To mark the start of pre-orders of these rings, Square Enix also distributes specially designed Japanese marriage registration forms. Two versions of the form are available. The Dragon Quest franchise is so big in Japan, it even has the unique theme Luida’s Bar people can visit. An attraction after the model series will also appear in the Nijigen no Mori theme park on Awaji Island. The last title in the series, Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition, is instantly available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC worldwide.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride was first released for Super Famicom (SNES) in September 1992 and PlayStation 2 in March 2004 in Japan. It is available worldwide on Nintendo DS and both iOS and Android devices.
