Dr Lupo signs YouTube exclusivity agreement



Streamer leaves the Twitch community of 4.5 million followers; first YouTube Gaming stream airs tomorrow

Professional Streamer Benjamin “DrLupo” Lupo announced today that he has signed an agreement to stream exclusively with YouTube Gaming.

He will start streaming on the platform exclusively on August 31st.

He started streaming in 2015 and has since grown a Twitch entourage of 4.5 million and 1.7 million on his personal YouTube channel.

“I am incredibly lucky to be able to do what I love and even more grateful to be able to give back to causes I care about the most,”

“YouTube not only allows me to continue to create content and grow my community, but through this partnership, YouTube will help me expand my brand through other entertainment initiatives. I’m excited to bring my fans on this journey.”

It was reported that YouTube Gaming viewership increased by 28% from year to year and grew to 1.4 billion hours seen. However, it still lags significantly behind Twitch viewership, which had more than four times as many hours seen that quarter and saw 97% growth from year to year.
