Doom Eternal's first brutal gameplay trailer and new details revealed on QuakeCon 2018

Bethesda capped by its QuakeCon 2018 keynote address by showing the first Doom Eternal video game, the sequel to 2016 reboot. The follow-up was originally announced under the publisher's E3 2018 press conference with an exciting movie trailer, which was shown again during the QuakeCon keynote before game director Marty Stratton and creative director Hugo Martin appeared on stage to discuss the sequel. [19659002] Doom Eternal will once again kill monsters with badass guns, and for the sequel, Doom Slayer will be the "strongest, most evil hero" ID Software ever created. Slayer has had a makeover and has a new weapon called Ballista, which can spit demons with an explosive bolt.

There will be many new weapons in Eternal, and id Software has created new enemies for players to meet. Old favorites have been updated and some have been reimagined, such as arachnids. They also showed a new character called Marauder, which looks a lot like Doom Slayer ̵

1; and it's a story behind what the developers evolved. A new system called "Destructible Demons" was also briefly mentioned, and it will help players to "tear and tear" through enemies.

The game film began with the slayer again to put on his helmet and activation systems. He looks at the new blade mounted on his left arm before loading the shotgun again. Before long he stares into a massive world where buildings crumble and monsters float around the sky. Seconds later he locks on enemies and grabs around and shoots them to pieces nearby.

The previous game's loop to deal with injury and then the completion of enemies with a melee attack is back, and some new animations have been introduced to make use of the armored blade. The action looks fast and visceral, as you can expect from the sequel. This time, however, there seems to be more focus on moving seamlessly, as the grip is used to getting high reasons for taking out threats.

Bigger enemies are shaken to pieces of fire and there is also a new mechanic where Doom Slayer is able to climb the walls. His mobility is further enhanced by a short stretch of stretch, which is convenient for closing the distance of enemies and building momentum. In the demonstration, Doom Slayer goes very fast through a selection of deadly weapons. Together with the arm blade and shotgun, there was a shoulder mounted flame rower, a rocket launcher, a sniper rider and a grenade thrower.

In the midst of violence there was a moment of vividness when an announcement said: "Remember" Demons "can be offensive, referring to them as" deadly challenged. ""

Slayer is then shown to get Blood Punch power-up , which was then used to beat enemies with crushing melee hits. This fits nicely into the hectic jump around the platforms, using floating enemies as gates, and powers everything with lead.

At the end of the second part of the game, it was confirmed that you can invade demons and take control of them. This ability goes so far as to let the players keep up with demons to form hunting parties. Doom Eternal will allow players to join friends to invade or be invaded, but you can also choose to play alone.

The environment shown during the demonstration was referred to as Hell on Earth, and it is just one of the "many" places the game will take players. Id Software has promised that it will take players to places they have never seen in a Doom game. The studio said it builds a Doom universe, instead of just another entry in the series. One of the new areas shown is Phobos, a space station besieged by demons. As you walk in, people are shocked to see you, get out of the way and attack you with awe. Slayer uses a red key card to enter a restricted area, shaking a gun out of his hands on a befuddled guard.

Down on the surface of the planet, Slayer stares at a giant laser as a voice over comms says, "Warning, Slayer has entered the plant." Of course, that's when the murder begins. Demons are sent with ruthless efficiency, as Slayer slides around industrial tunnels, launches grenades to eradicate bigger enemies while using a plasma weather to pick out the smaller ones. The action only escalates, with demons set in fire, picked off using a sniper rifle, and exploded using charged bolts. That's pretty much exactly what you expect to see in a sequel to Doom. The game video ends with the arrival of a new enemy calling a firewall, just like Slayer draws an energy converter and hopes for it.

Another detail confirmed about Doom Eternal is that it will run with 60 frames per Second, which is nice given the highly demanding nature for first person shooting.

There was little said about Doom Eternal since it was revealed on E3 until now. Producer Marty Stratton and creative director Hugo Martin revealed that it would build up previous games, take their satisfying, fast struggle and push it forward. This time, Doom Slayer will be even stronger and the types of enemies have doubled. Doom Eternal will also take place on earth, although we imagine that you should take regular trips to other hellish dimensions as well.

Id Software's 2016 Doom was a very successful restart of one of the most iconic and reputable first person shooters of all time. In GameSpot's Doom Review, Peter Brown said: "Without doubt, the high and chaotic campaign is Doom's strongest component."

He continued: "It's okay and simple, but it serves its purpose: pushing you into increasingly serious scenarios of rage and the spirit of heavy metal. Many shooters chase the excitement Doom delivers, but few are as strong in the performance. It captures the essence of what made the classic Doom games to their day and translates it to fit modern palates with impressive rendered hellscapes and a steady influx of tantalizing upgrades.

"Doom is a product of a tradition that is as old as shooters, and while it's not the model that follows in all cases, modern shooters could learn one or two things from Doom's honed and unadulterated identity. "
