Indie physics puzzle game Donut County will be on August 28th across PC, PS4 and iOS. It costs $ 13 each, except iOS, where it will be $ 5. Alternatively you can save a few dollars on PS4, where a pre-order will be available for $ 10.49. It will give you a free PS4 dynamic theme as well.
The noisy concept was brainstormed by Ben Esposito by The Unfinished Swan and What Remains of Edith Finch. The tone of it is very different from the quiet indie puzzles, and the idea comes from a game-play game designer Peter Molyneux. The game acts like Katamari Damacy in reverse, as a hole grows when swallowing things around the world.
Donut County has already won accolades: The Independent Games Festival finalist in the Excellence in Visual Art category and a venerable mention for Seumas McNally prize. GameSpot also called it a hidden gem and a game to see from PAX East 201
If you are looking for other indie games on the cheap to fill the gap until the end of August, check out Humble Indie Mega Week sale. It offers a variety of cheap games including other indie puzzler The Witness.
