KANSAS CITY, Mo. – T-Mobile Center is ready to host Disney On Ice next January, and marks the first public event in more than ten months.
The show, called “Dream Big”, is scheduled for 16 performances from January 28 to February 7. If arranged, this will be the first ticket event open to spectators since the pandemic began, which canceled the Big 12 tournament in March.
Fans were banned from watching the tournament from March 12, the day after the tournament started. The decision came shortly after the WHO announced coronavirus as a pandemic, and the NCAA cut off access to fans of March Madness, all on the same day.
The last non-sporting event was the TobyMac concert, which took place the weekend before the tournament on March 8.
T-Mobile Center announced the show on Twitter on December 29th. The center’s website stated that it would use a reduced capacity and group seats. Arrowhead Stadium operates under a similar approach to allow fans in the stands.
Masks will be required for all participants aged 2 and older, except when eating or drinking actively.
