You can sign up for Diablo 2: Resurrected alpha right now, but Blizzard has not given many details on what to expect from this early look at the game. But now the developers have confirmed to us that there are two alpha tests planned before launch. First we get a single player alpha, then it becomes a multiplayer focused stress test.
“We will start with a single-player technical alpha, and then we will get a new technical alpha after that, which is a kind of multiplayer and stress testing,” says main producer Chris Lena in an interview. Both of these tests will of course take place before the release date of Diablo 2: Resurrected later this year. “But,”
Of course, these alphas will begin to shape the future of Resurrected. Lena says that the door is open for things like balance changes to keep the game alive for a modern society – if the players actually indicate that they actually want it to happen. Either way, it begins the process of alpha.
You can sign up for alpha over at the official website.
With the release date of Diablo 4 on the way (finally), there is a lot of potential goodness on the way for Diablo diehards. (And hey, it sounds like Immortal can even be good too.)
