Destiny 2's Thunderlord Murder Mystery Quest Is Lord, But The First Step Is Easy And Bad Destiny 2 Players have been waiting for a while for today's big update, which brings with it changes like a less.

Destiny 2 Bungie

Destiny 2 terrible exotic drop system (now weighted towards things you do not have) and more masterwork cores (now "enhancement cores".

But most of all players have been waiting for this "murder mystery "Questline that was promised as part of Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost event one where we try to figure out who killed Master Ives, the Reef's old Cryptarch.

Players checking in with Amanda Holiday today however After the reset were greeted not by an actual quest, but instead a quest. The step is a yellow pursuit, meaning that we are definitely on the trail of an exotic when this is all said and done, and it's probably Thunderlord, according to recent leaks and data mining. But what's become clear In de eerste vijf minuten of reset hier is dat deze quest is timegated.

The first step is bizarrely easy. I get that this is an event for everyone to participate in regardless of power level or skill, and I'm not a fan of crazily hard exotic quests personally, but this was … odd to say the least.

The first step has you collect pages from Master Ives's journal, pages you can get either by decrypting legendary or exotic engrams, or killing "powerful" Fallen in the EDZ.

Destiny 2 Bungie

should rack up this amount of engrams pretty quickly, but there are two ways to complete this step almost instantly. There's an easy way, and a really easy way.

  1. The easy, but somewhat expensive way is to simply buy legendary engrams from not-murdered Cryptarch, Master Rahool. Men dette vil køre dig 250 + shards for de ti sider. I do not really care about spending that much when I have like 4,500 right now with nothing to spend them on, and yet there's a way to do this that's even easier a free.
  2. Simply go to the EDZ and complete one heroic glimmer extraction public event, which shows up in the starting zone about every five minutes or so. I tried farming lost sector Fallen bosses, but that does not work. I think the pages only drop from orange bar enemies, not yellow bars, and there are a ton of those in that public event. I completed this entire quest step before the event was over. Absurd.

After that? We run into a timegate where you have to "check back with Amanda" when she gets more information. Logic would dictate this could happen in a week, or it could happen tomorrow. Usually these kinds of things do span weeks, but since Halloween is tomorrow I'm hoping that we could see an accelerated timetable for this quest. I would have to imagine it will finish before the Festival of the Lost ends on November 6, which is just a week from now. So yeah, I would check back every day.

Day one here is a bit of a letdown for players who thought we'd be getting an actual quest to do with real goals, voicework, challenges, etc. Instead we have something Det kan bli gjort om fem minutter, selv om du ikke er cheesing it med engram purchases. Pretty weird.

I do imagine that the other steps will be more involved than this, and we will run an actual mission at some point and this will not just purely be collecting stuff. Men jeg forventer ikke at denne søken skal være ekstraordinært vanskelig hvis det begynner med fluff som dette. But who knows.

So uh, get those pages I guess? See you tomorrow hopefully for new info.
