Tomorrow Sony holds a press conference at IFA 2018, where it is expected to unveil its next flagship smartphone, XZ3. But if you do not want to jump on the flow of life, there are some good news. Thanks to a couple of major XZ3 leaks today, we have a solid idea of exactly what Sony's new smartphone should look like, what's in, and most importantly, what a flagship smartphone in 2018 really looks like it's not a hack.
The tires come from WinFuture s Roland Quandt, which has provided a reliable flow of smartphone leaks this year. The pictures he received seem to be pushing the new phone in a variety of colors and from all angles, which is the gold standard for leaks ̵
Inside there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, according to both WinFuture and a leak Geekbench benchmark. Again, no surprises: Snapdragon 845 with 4GB RAM (what WinFuture says) is board games for a flagship, so no shock.
The latest surprise from this leak is that Sony has a single-lens camera on the back, instead of going with dual-lens or triple-lens setup that becomes popular. Sony is a company known for its imaging, especially in sensors, so it's not surprising that it's up to the technology it knows. However, with a single lens, the phone will not be able to pull off cool fake depth screens like iPhone X's portrait mode.
