EA's critically acclaimed survival fear game Dead Space becomes 10 today. While ultimately leaning towards a more action adventure tune at the end of the trilogy, the Dead Space series continued to sell over 10 million copies and expanded beyond just video games with spin-off stories across different media. So, to celebrate the title, you'll see a look back to the series beginning with the 2008 origins Dead Space but be aware of SPOILERS ARE INBOUND .
While EA Redwood Studios (later rebranded as Visceral Games) wanted to develop a proper sequel to System Shock in the mid 2000s, EA decided for the first time against the track from the studio. However, thanks to the success of the 2005 Resident Evil 4 EA decided to green the project light as long as it meant more of a horror setting. From these ideas came what is known by many as the original Dead Space which takes place in the 26th century and centers around the series's protagonist Isaac Clarke when he and his crew are sent on rescue mission to USG Ishimura.
Through Clarkes traveling aboard Ishimura in the original Dead Space he is forced to face terrible creatures called necromorphs. The necromorphics serve as the main enemies throughout the trilogy.
Created by what is called the red marker, which causes the dead to recover, nekromorfer is different from most enemies seen in other games, to kill them, the player shoots much of his limbs instead to go for Typical Head or Body Shots that is the norm in most other shooters. Necromorphs take on various forms through the Isaac Clarkes trio of Dead Space adventures, ranging from major bosses to smaller creatures, which makes normal people turn to necromorphs in a few seconds.
Continued With 2009's Dead Space 2 Players Rejoined With Isaac Clarke Three Years After the event of Aegis VII and Ishimura. Clarke has been moved to Titan Space Station and must destroy a new marker located in Sprawl.
Dead Space 2 also sees Clarke suffering from serious hallucinations due to exposure of the red marker from the first game and adds another dangerous element to Clarke's journey. The sequel continued to sell more than four million copies, but due to the game's major development budget, sales were still evaluated under expectations.

Dead Space 2 Dead Space 3 takes place a few years after the events in Dead Space 2 . This time, Clarke has to wait again in the room to find his companion from the second game, Ellie Langford.
When they began to search and rescue missions in Dead Space 3 they learn that Langford is lost on the planet Tau Volantis, which turns out to be the world of Marker's home. In an attempt to get rid of the cruelty of the necromorphism, Clarke inevitably destroys to eliminate the supernatural stranger race for good. Development for Dead Space 3 pulled the series further away from the survival horror aspect known to the franchise in an effort to attract a larger audience, incorporating collaborative projects and focusing on more action-oriented struggles.
There were plans for Visceral Games to continue the series with a fourth Dead Space game, with the possibility of a female protagonist. But due to the unfortunate electronic art's unfortunate closure of studio last year, these plans have been set to the roadside. While some news about a new Dead Space is unlikely for a while, the first game of the series has a lasting effect for fans with a master class in survival fears that are still difficult to match. 19659015] Dead Space is available for PlayStation 3, Windows and Xbox 360.
