Cyberpunk 2077 players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PC and Google Stadium are haunted by a ghost, but not because it’s a ghost that haunts gamers in the open world RPG, but because of a bug. It’s been a minute since last Cyberpunk 2077 the update has been released, which means that there have now been a number of bugs plaguing the game for several weeks. For example, the ghost of Adam Smasher follows players around and emerges at random times to scare the Bojangles chicken out of them.
In recent weeks, players have begun to report the bug, but many assumed it was just a myth, until recently. Taking to Reddit, a player confirmed that the bug is actually real with a video showing Adam Smasher chasing them.
Right now it is unclear what triggers this error, what platforms it is and does not bother, and how widespread it is. It is also not clear how you can avoid it and if there is any solution to it.

At the moment of publication, CD Projekt Red has not officially addressed the error. If this changes, we will be sure to update the history. And of course, if more information about the error itself appears, we will also give the story an update with the said information.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available via PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Google Stadium, and right now it’s still a bit buggy mess no matter what platform you play on, but it’s also drastically improved from launch. It is in pretty good shape now, but far from perfect, and very far from flawless.
