Cyberpunk 2077: CD Project to ‘Undertake Vigorous Action’ to Defend Against Lawsuits

Cyberpunk 2077 publisher CD Projekt SA has confirmed that it has received notice of the lawsuit against the company and will “implement strong measures to defend itself against such claims.” The board of CD Projekt SA made the regulatory statement in response to the New York-based Rosen Advokatfirma, which is filing the aforementioned class action lawsuit on behalf of buyers in the USA of the securities of CD Projekt SA between 16 January 2020 and 17 December 2020.It acknowledges that the lawsuit is intended for the court to decide “whether the actions taken by the company and board members in connection with the release of Cyberpunk 2077 constituted a violation of federal laws, including by misleading investors and consequently causing them to incur injuries. “

CD Projekt also notes that “the complaint does not specify how much damage has been sought”, and that it will, as previously mentioned, “implement strong measures to defend itself against such claims.” The lawsuit from Rosen Advokatfirma claims that CD Projekt had “made false and / or misleading statements” and / or failed to reveal that “Cyberpunk 2077 was practically unplayable on today’s generation of Xbox or PlayStation systems due to a huge number of errors . “

In response to the above and the messy message surrounding the game’s launch, Sony removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS Store, and Sony, Microsoft and CD Projekt would “be forced to offer a full refund for the game.”
