Two special edition models will soon join the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado Medium Truck Position: Colorado RST and the Colorado Z71 Trail Runner.
Chevrolet will offer 2019 Colorado RST, which stands for the "Rally Sport Truck", with a handful of exterior upgrades, but no performance-oriented changes. Colorado RST is based on LT trim, with exclusive exterior features like a Chevrolet lettered front grille design, black body side lists, and various black badging on the tailgate, such as RST, Colorado and Chevrolet Bowtie logos. RST will also be the first Colorado to come with 20-inch wheels, which will have a weak black finish.

A Chevrolet spokesman noted, however, that the vast majority of these special edition models would take advantage of the optional 3.6-liter V6 that makes 308 hp and 275 lb.-ft. with torque while the 2.8-liter 4-cylinder Duramax diesel engine with 186 hp and 369 lb.-ft. Torque is also available as an option for both. Regardless of the driven wheels, the V6 pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission and diesel engine pairs with a 6-speed automatic. The spokesman also claims that the Duramax engine is more likely to be found in the Z71 Trail Runner than RST, and notes that it is a popular engine for off-roading purposes.
Although pricing and a specific release date are not complete yet, you can expect to see both the Colorado RST and the Colorado Z71 Trail Runner at Chevrolet dealers early in 2019.
