Check out Guilty Gear Strive newcomer Nagoriyuki in today’s start guide

Two words: Vampire. Samurai.

Something a little different today Guilty Gear Strive Starter Guide, when Arc System Works finally lifts the curtain on one of the upcoming fighter’s brand new characters. Stoic, scary, as stylish as everyone else GG history, welcome the night walker – Nagoriyuki.

I could just write “Vampire Samurai” and leave it, but you deserve more. I will notice that Nagoriyuki’s huge frame dominates the battlefield, while the razor-sharp Katana gives him ridiculous range and astonishing poke ability. Nagoriyuki’s vampiric tendencies also come into play via his set, with a “Blood Gauge”

; filling up when he lands, hitting the opponent. Once completed, Nagoriyuki can activate a Rage mode, which extends the range and damage, at the expense of several special attacks.

Essentially, an effective Nagoriyuki player will actually become more powerful as the battle progresses, but will also go into more risky play. This is reminiscent of the bloodsucker Mira from Killer Instinct, who also exchanged health and opportunities for strength as the battle continued. In addition to this mechanic, Nagoriyuki has shifting / short teleportation abilities, a command grip and advancing combinations. Nagoriyuki already looks like an absolute strength to be reckoned with, and will certainly make his impression felt when he debuts in the spring.

The Guilty Gear Strive beta is February 18 for all PS4 and PS5 players – regardless of PlayStation Plus status. Pre-order customers can skip the action one day earlier on 17 February.
