Capcom confirms Resident Evil Village PC update on the way

Changes are on the way Resident Evil Village PC version. Capcom confirmed that they are working on a patch. However, there is no release date for it. Rather, in a statement to Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry, it said “it should be available soon.” [Thanks, Nibel!]

This is the exact statement the Capcom representative made to Digital Foundry.

The team is [sic] working on an update to fix PC performance issues, it should be available soon – we’ll have more information shortly.

The announcement came after a Digital Foundry comparison of a pirated version of Resident Evil Village runs better than normal. The study pointed in particular to how the “cracked”

; version eliminated strains during meetings with Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters and at important animation moments. Capcom then contacted and confirmed a Resident Evil Village PC patch is in the works.

In others Resident Evil Village-related news, Capcom delayed one of the components. Resident Evil Re: Vers does not start in 2021 as planned. Instead, the multiplayer game, which will be free for people who own Resident Evil Village, shown in 2022.

Resident Evil Village is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC and Google Stadiums, and a PC update “will be available soon.”
