The latest teaser for Call of Duty: Warzone’s rumored nuke event has arrived, this time suggesting that zombies are on their way to Verdansk bank. Activision sends out piggy banks to influencers with a message warning of zombies on their way to the Acropolis National Bank.
“The Acropolis National Bank has been operating as a zombie institution for years, but no one thought their assets would end up six meters below … Hope you have Diamond Hands, Operator,” the statement said.
Previous teasers included a hospital scrub and a prison suit that referred to how zombies were on their way to Verdansk̵
Players have speculated that the zombie infection may grow more and more out of control until Verdansk is finally nuked to solve the undead problem. This event will take place sometime around the end of season 2, which will be in April. The ongoing theory is that Warzone will then restart with a Black Ops theme after the nuke event.
In addition to these swag-related teasers, Activision has released some announcements from Armistice Central Command that tell players about the zombie spread and inform them that there is no problem at all. This is probably propaganda in the universe – the zombie infection looks more real all the time.
All this happens as part of Activision’s attempt to tell a kind of story in the multiplayer game. In other news, a double XP event is taking place this week in Warzone.
