Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has three different multiplayer modes with very different game styles, so Activision and developer Treyarch alternate with highly focused updates. Last week's update focused mostly on competitive multiplayer and this week is Blackouts tour. A new roll-out update reports weapons and classes in the game's royal mode.

According to patchnotates, Blightfather has been moved from IX to the cemetery. This is called a temporary move, but you can take him on if you want to win any special rewards. The characters in the Black Ops 4 Chaos Storyline have also been unlocked, and the item object's item prices have been increased.

Competitive multiplayer also got a rotation of new playlists. The selected playlist now contains Team Tactical Moshpit, Mercenary Chaos Moshpit and Mercenary Hardcore Moshpit. For Zombies, the team says it continues to focus most of its efforts on stability. It promises an update on that progress soon.

The game is also hosted by a 2X Tier Boost Weekend for Multiplayer and Blackout, plus 2X Nebulium Plasma in Zombies mode, starting Friday 9th. November. It will turn off at 1

0 AM PT and will take place at 10:00 PT on Monday 12 November.

Blackout

Playlist Updates

  • Blightfather added to all playlists.

  • 100-Player Quads added to the Featured Playlist.

  • Maximum players in Solo and Duo's playlists changed to 88.

Character Missions

  • Zombies Chaos Storyline Character assignments now available (Bruno, Diego, Scarlett and Shaw).

  • Increased drop figures for Character Mission elements.

Weapon (blackout only)

  • Underwater guns

    • Increased snow speed on all SMGs. This should provide more consistent martial arts when in the SMG area, while ensuring that SMGs perform as expected in their intended power bands relative to Assault Rifles in Blackout.

      • Reduced ADS turn.

      • Reduced recoil.

  • Tactical rifles

    • Auger DMR

      • Increased mid-speed. We reduced the center due to high performance in our Blackout beta, but have seen AUGER slightly underperforming since the release.

      • Slightly increased muzzle speed.

  • Svordfisk

  • Light Machine Guns

    • While some players have found success with LMGs in Blackout, they are still being transferred by the vast majority of players. These changes should help make LMG more affordable when they provide lid fire or engaging targets within reach.

        • Added Team Tactical Moshpit to Featured Playlist (3v3 TDM, Kill Confirmed, and Search & Destroy).

        • Solved an exploit in Search and Destroy where players could change classes after the start of a round to regain Scorestreak progress from the previous round before death.

        • Fixed a problem in Heist where you navigate Buy a d-pad menu can display the description for the previously highlighted item.

        • Fixed a problem where meleeing friendly Razor Wire in hardcore game modes would harm players that potentially cause the player who placed Razor Wire to be kicked for friendly fire.

      • Miscellaneous

        • Corrected the description for "Fast Reflexes" Challenge to inform players about the requirement to get 5 EKIA in a game shortly after switching weapons with Skill, Overkill and Laser Sight.

      Zombies

      • Stability

        • Fixed 2 Specific Crashes in IX Main Quest.

        • Fixed a crash related to IX banner challenges.

        • Fixed a crash that occurred when the shield broke while the player had the Victorian turtle barrier active.

      • Gameplay

        • Solved a problem where players could end up with a permanently run-down condition if they revived as a self-reliant, being completed.

        • Fixed a problem when picking up Max Ammo startup while B and oils are active did not give extra ammunition if the weapon was in its normal Max Ammo capacity.

      • Miscellaneous

        • Resolved UI issues caused by opening Paintshop after customizing a weapon in Armory.

        • Solved a problem where players can equip Talismans in Local Play.

        • Modified Elixir Description to reflect its 5-minute duration.

        • Changed Arsenal Accelerator Elixir Description reflecting its 2-minute duration.

        • Added audio settings to alternatives.

        • Fixed a problem where the rotation icon would appear when you selected some items in the black market.

        • Solved a problem where the players would be heavily defeated using fast travel from the crossing tunnel to get to the cafeteria before opening the door in Blood of the dead.

        • Fixed a problem where Warpaints could not be removed after being used.
